HSJ unplugged
Many thanks to Thomas Cummings for hosting the September Hardly Strictly Jerry jam. And welcome to Kevin Richards, who contributed very tasty mandolin licks and (if the rest of us have any say) will be back for future jams.
This was billed as an “unplugged” jam, which for this group translates as: “Bring your small amps.”
Our setlist dug deep into 1970’s Workingman’s Dead and American Beauty, including: Brokedown Palace, Candyman, Casey Jones, Catfish John, Cumberland Blues, Dire Wolf, Dark Hollow, Deep Elem Blues, Friend of the Devil, I’ve been all around this world, I know you rider, Must have been the roses, To lay me down, and Uncle John’s Band.
